Stacia's love of horses began before she can remember as her grandmother had her on a horse before she could walk.  Horses dominated her life through her school years, showing in local horseshows and riding in the mountains of her Northern California home.  In High School she purchased her first young horse and with the help of her trainer began to learn about starting and training young horses.

In college she majored in Equine Science while she continued to ride on the college riding team.  A colt training class allowed her to continue to work with young horses and gave her the opportunity to learn various training techniques from some top trainers.  During this time she also worked at the school's stallion lab learning how to handle stallions as well as being involved in the breeding process.

A yearling Connemara/TB colt accompanied her to Veterinary School and between classes and studying she spent time training and loving her friend.  Stacia met her husband-to-be, Jim,  while in school and when he  proposed he was told that he would be getting a horse as well as a wife.

As the family grew by 4 children two more horses also joined the family, two Connemara mares.  The dream of breeding and training horses had to be put on hold for several years while the Air Force took the family to Guam, France and Egypt while the children were growing up.  Horses continued to be a part of their lives, as  Stacia found horses wherever they were located and took advantage of every opportunity to ride.  A return to Virginia and retirement from the Air Force in 2018 allowed the dream to become a reality.
